For a UK business logo or address stamp, compare the impression size, design layout, available ink options and replacement-pad compatibility of the specific model. COLOP, Trodat and Shiny offer branded stamp ranges; Stamp Design 4U supplies these brands alongside its own Imprint range and personalised designs. There is no single best brand for every job.
Compare practical examples
All dimensions below are the printed impression size. Select a product name to see its current price, options and personaliser.
| Range | Example | Impression size | When to consider it |
|---|---|---|---|
| COLOP | COLOP Printer C50 logo stamp | 70 × 30mm | A rectangular logo layout needing more width than a compact stamp. |
| Trodat | Trodat Professional 5208 logo stamp | 68 × 47mm | A larger logo layout needing height as well as width. |
| Shiny | Shiny S844 logo stamp | 58 × 22mm | A medium rectangular logo or branding layout. |
| Stamp Design 4U | 4933 square logo stamp | 25 × 25mm | A compact square mark with a simple, readable design. |
COLOP: compare the impression and layout
Choose a COLOP model by the space your design needs, rather than choosing by brand name alone. The C50 example above is rectangular; other models offer different dimensions. Check the available ink options on the selected product, and use a replacement pad compatible with that exact model.
Trodat: choose the model for your artwork
Compare a compact or medium Printy model with a larger Professional model when your logo needs more room. Extra area can help preserve readable detail, but a larger stamp is not automatically the right choice: its impression still needs to fit your document or packaging.
Shiny: check the specific format and options
The Shiny S844 example provides a 58 × 22mm rectangular impression. Check the chosen model’s personaliser for its available options and inspect the design at the final impression size. Do not assume pads or ink are interchangeable between different ranges.
Stamp Design 4U: square designs and the Imprint range
The 4933 example above provides a 25 × 25mm impression for compact square designs. Our Imprint range also includes rectangular impression sizes such as 38 × 14mm, 48 × 18mm and 58 × 22mm. Match the format to the design and check the product options before ordering.

Choose your next step by the job
Once you have compared the brands, use the task below to narrow the options. A brand can offer several formats, so match the individual model to the design and material.
| Your task | Guide or product finder | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Stamp a business logo | Compare logo stamps | Logo proportions, impression size, fine detail and the intended surface. |
| Add dates to paperwork | Compare stock and personalised date stamps | Ready-made wording versus your own text; set the date bands manually before use. |
| Carry a stamp between workplaces | Choose a pocket stamp | A compact, readable design and the model’s operating and storage instructions. |
| Compare larger Professional stamps | Compare Trodat 5208, 5211 and 5212 options | The space your artwork needs, its fit on your item and the compatible replacement pad. |
| Equip an office for routine paperwork | Compare seven office-stamp uses | The message or information you repeat most often; start with the task you need. |
| Replace a fading ink pad | Find a replacement ink pad | The exact stamp model and pad reference. Pads are not interchangeable across all brands or formats. |

What matters more than the brand name?
- Shape and detail: wide logos need width, while stacked or square marks need height. Fine lines and small lettering may need simplifying at the final impression size.
- Surface: standard office stamping is suited to absorbent, uncoated paper and card. Ask for advice before ordering for glossy, coated, plastic or textile materials.
- Maintenance: identify the exact stamp model before buying replacement ink or pads.
- Design process: where the selected product offers artwork upload, use SVG, PNG or JPG/JPEG. PDF upload is not currently supported in the online personaliser. If you only have a PDF, contact us before ordering. Review the visual inside the personaliser; a separate manual proof is available on request.
For a wider selection with square, round and rectangular choices, use our Best Logo Stamps buying guide. For artwork help, read the upload guide.
Document wording and certification stamps
A stamp prints the wording supplied or shown on the product. The stamped wording does not itself verify a document or confer legal authority. Follow the recipient’s requirements and the applicable official procedure when using certification wording.
Common questions
Which rubber stamp brand is best for my business logo?
The best choice depends on your logo proportions, smallest details, surface and preferred format. Compare specific models and their impression sizes rather than assuming one brand suits every design.
Can I upload my logo and see the design?
Where the selected product offers artwork upload, use SVG, PNG or JPG/JPEG and inspect the visual before checkout. PDF upload is not currently supported in the online personaliser. If you only have a PDF, contact us before ordering. Request a separate manual proof if needed.
How many lines of text can I add?
The capacity varies with the model, font and layout. Use the selected product’s personaliser to check the available text fields and visual; there is no universal line or character limit across these ranges.
