A personalised address stamp repeats your business or return address on envelopes and suitable paperwork. A logo-and-text stamp can combine that address with a business logo or contact details. Choose the impression size around the space available and keep the address legible at its finished size.
Start with the address-stamp buying guide for text layouts, or the logo-stamp buying guide if your design includes artwork.

Address-only or logo and address?
An address-only design gives the postal details room to remain clear. If you add a logo, allow enough space for both the artwork and the text. A larger impression may suit a detailed logo or extra contact details, but it also needs a larger flat area on the envelope or document.

Which impression size should I choose?
The dimensions below describe the impression size. Measure the space you intend to stamp, then compare the layout in the personaliser.
- Imprint 11 address stamp — 38 × 14mm. A compact option when the address layout fits a smaller area.
- Imprint 12 border address stamp — 48 × 18mm. A preset border layout for the wording offered in the personaliser.
- Imprint 12 monogram address stamp — 48 × 18mm. A monogram-style layout with personalised address wording.
- Imprint 13 name and address stamp — 58 × 22mm. A larger rectangular option for a name and address.
- Trodat Printy 4926 text stamp — 75 × 38mm. A larger text layout when you need more space for the wording.
The number of characters that fits depends on the size, font, number of lines and design. Do not assume that a line count on its own guarantees room for every address. Check long street names, postcodes and any extra details in the finished preview.
What should I put on a return-address stamp?
Include the name or business name and the postal address you want to repeat. Check every line and the postcode before ordering. A phone number, email address or website may be useful for a business contact stamp, but additional text needs enough space to stay readable.
For a decorative layout, check that the border or monogram leaves enough room for the address. The example below shows a gift-tag-style address design.

How do I prepare a business logo?
Use a clear original and check fine details at the chosen impression size. Upload SVG, PNG or JPG/JPEG artwork in the online personaliser and check the visual before ordering. PDF upload is not currently supported; contact us before ordering if your artwork is only available as a PDF.
A stamp prints a design in the selected ink colour; gradients and shaded artwork may need simplifying into a suitable high-contrast design. A separate proof is available on request.
The Trodat Printy 4927 example below shows a logo with an address and contact details. The right layout depends on your own design and available space.

Can I use it on envelopes, labels and packaging?
Flat, absorbent, uncoated paper or card is a sensible starting point for a standard self-inking stamp. Glossy labels, coated packaging and uneven surfaces can affect drying and impression quality. Test on spare material and let the ink dry before stacking documents. Ask us to confirm a suitable stamp and ink before ordering for a non-absorbent surface.
What should I check before ordering?
- The impression fits the area you plan to stamp.
- The address, postcode and business details are correct.
- The logo and smaller text remain clear in the preview.
- The selected ink colour and design match your intended use.
