A custom stamp repeats your chosen wording, logo or design as an ink impression. It can save repeated writing on documents and envelopes or add consistent branding to suitable paper materials. Choose it by the information you need to print, the impression size and the surface you will stamp.

What a custom stamp does
The personalised design may contain text, a logo or both. A self-inking mechanism uses an internal ink pad; a traditional hand stamp uses a separate pad. Your intended use and the available product options determine which arrangement suits your project.
Sizes describe the impression size. They help you judge how much space the printed design will occupy. Text capacity varies with the model, font and layout, so a fixed character limit does not apply to every stamp.

A date stamp has a changeable date mechanism. Adding a fixed date to a personalised text design does not make that date adjustable. Check the product description and controls before choosing.
Prepare and order your design
Start with the wording or artwork you want to print, then choose a product with enough impression space. Use the text fields and artwork options offered in its personaliser. Check the selected model, ink colour and package before ordering.
Upload SVG, PNG or JPG/JPEG artwork in the online personaliser and check the preview before ordering. PDF upload is not currently supported in the online personaliser. If you only have a PDF, contact us before ordering.

When personalisation is useful
Custom wording is useful when you repeatedly write the same address, reference or message. A logo can keep your branding consistent on paper inserts, tags or correspondence. For occasional use, weigh the cost and convenience against simply writing or printing the information.
Surface suitability matters. Standard self-inking ink is intended for absorbent paper and card. Glossy, coated, plastic, fabric and uneven surfaces need separate advice. Test on a spare sample before stamping a batch of suitable stationery.
Custom or ready-made wording?
Choose a custom stamp when you need your own wording, logo or layout. Choose a stock-word stamp when a standard message such as PAID, RECEIVED or CONFIDENTIAL already says what you need. Both can be practical; custom wording is not automatically the better choice for every task.
Compare the actual impression size, message, colour options and current price. A stock message will not contain your company name unless the product specifically offers personalisation.
Checks that prevent ordering mistakes
- Check spelling, addresses, phone numbers and dates.
- Compare the impression size with the space on your document or card.
- Simplify tiny text and crowded artwork.
- Check that the ink is suitable for your intended material.
- Review the personaliser visual and selected options before ordering.
- Check what your package includes: extra ink pads are replacement pads.
A standard single-colour stamp prints in the selected ink colour. Several colours in your uploaded artwork do not make it print several colours at once. For replacement pads, match the exact model using our ink pad finder.

What are custom stamps used for?
They repeat chosen text or designs on suitable materials, including addresses, business branding, feedback and recurring office messages.
Do I need to make the stamp myself?
No. Choose your product and prepare the wording or artwork in its personaliser. You do not need carving tools to order a personalised stamp.
Does every stamp accept a logo?
No. Choose a product that offers artwork upload. Text-only products and ready-made word stamps have different options.
When should I choose a custom stamp?
Choose one when you need your own wording or design. A stock-word stamp can be sufficient for a standard office message.
